- EMU use the best skins
available, Borderleicester/Merino X, sourced from the Western
District of Victoria.
- this
type of skin gives a dense wool, clean pelt but still maintaining a
soft fibre, perfect for our EMU boots and slippers
- the wool
side is called "FLEECE", the skin side is called the
"PELT".
- the
sheepskin EMU use is called "TWIN FACE" or "DOUBLE FACE" meaning
that both the wool side and the pelt side of the skin has been
treated. (Some competitors use single face skins stuck to suede to
get the pricing down, this is not a REAL SHEEPSKIN
BOOT).
- Our wool
length is between 15 and 17mm in length.
